Introductions & Welcome Dinner
What to expect
- Location — Lower Hall of the James Bay United Church at 511 Michigan St
- Timeline — Doors & food at 5:30, opening remarks and facilitated event at 6:00, questions, feedback, and wrap-up at 7:30.
- Food — We wouldn’t invite you to an evening event without feeding you a proper meal! Include dietary restrictions in your RSVP.
- Lightly facilitated conversation — We want to ensure that every gardener meets every homeowner, and a little structure can keep things feeling comfortable.
- Feedback & questions — You’ll have the chance to share your hopes and fears for the program, as well as ask us questions.
Finding your boulevard partners
While we hope you make some new friends, we won’t be locking in any partnerships during the event. Instead, we’ll send a short follow-up survey where you’ll be able to indicate who you’d like to work with. Partnerships will be decided the following week, starting with suggestions by us based on your feedback, proximity, and other factors.
Even after the event, we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to find a spot for everyone, at least not initially.

That’s okay! As long as you’ve filled out one of our application forms (homeowner or gardener version), you’ll be included in the matchmaking process following the event.
