Shape the Future of Your Neighbourhood

If you have unused boulevard space in front of your property, you may permit one or more gardeners to grow food there*. Our program would place you in a "pod" with your neighbours and prospective gardeners who live nearby.

You get final say over any arrangements made between gardeners and yourself, but Curbside holds certain expectations regarding its program.

1. 1. Gardeners are not strangers

   You will meet all gardeners who may use your boulevard in person before any gardens are established.

2. 2. You bring the water

   Gardeners will access water from a spigot on your property. You are entitled to compensation for this, if you wish.

3. 3. Written agreements

   Boulevard use will proceed according to a written agreement between you, the gardener(s), and Curbside. You can preview a draft of this agreement here.

4. 4. Your boulevard, your choice

   You can terminate your agreement at any time and Curbside will return your boulevard to its original state, within reason.

If you would like to garden but don't have enough space, you may do so on a boulevard, provided that you receive permission from the adjacent property owner and follow some basic safety and tidiness guidelines*

Our program would match you with a homeowner willing to share their space and would place you in a "pod" with other gardeners and homeowners on the same block.

   Gardeners are expected to join Curbside as cooperative member-owners where they are encouraged to help make important decisions about the organization.
