When Eric first learned about Vancouver Island’s long-term food security situation, he knew something had to be done. Thankfully, after graduating with a Bachelors in Political Science, he was able to work with some of the amazing folks at CRFAIR and Iye, who were already working on solving this issue - and others.
First as a volunteer and then as an employee, he contributed a total of six years with the team at theDock - Centre for Social Impact, creating a community-centred coworking space for non-profits and social enterprises.
With the desire to build Curbside, Eric also pursued a Masters in Community Development at UVic. While he isn’t yet finished, he is ready to start his next chapter by building Curbside alongside his team.
(Oh yeah, and he also loves to organize “Fine Arts Raves” that involve everything from strange audio installations, to clowns! Ask him to pop out his kazoo next time you see him, chances are he’s carrying it - and probably bubbles too.)
